International Driving Permit (IDP) Service Terms

1. SERVICE OVERVIEW

International Drivers Association provides services for issuing International Driving Permits (IDP) in accordance with the Vienna Convention on Road Signs and Signals.

IDP Issuance (document format A6)
Digital copy in PDF (available within 1 hour)
Registration in the IDA central database
QR code for authenticity verification

1.2 Definition of International Driving Permit (IDP): An official document issued in accordance with the Vienna Convention on Road Signs and Signals, serving as a translation and certification of your national driving license. The IDP is valid only when accompanied by your national driving license.

1.3 Definition of Auto-Tourist Card: An optional document confirming your international tourist status as a driver, which may facilitate recognition in certain countries and rental agencies.

Extended: IDP + auto-tourist card + PDF + registration (1 hour)

Prices: Published on ida.ae. Valid at the time of payment. Changes take effect after publication.

2. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS

By using the ida.ae website and placing an order, you accept all terms outlined in this agreement. International Drivers Association reserves the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the website constitutes acceptance of updated terms.

3. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES AS A CLIENT

You bear full and exclusive responsibility for:

The accuracy of all provided information, including full name, date of birth, nationality, national driving license number, and vehicle categories
Ensuring all information matches your passport or identity document
Providing a photograph that meets standards (clear, color, no shadows, light background, no sunglasses, hats, or face-covering objects)
Ensuring your signature is legitimate and matches the sample in your national driving license

You understand and agree that providing false, incomplete, or inaccurate information will result in order rejection without refund of paid funds.

4. DELIVERY TIMES

PDF version: Within 1 hour of order approval
Physical document: Delivered in Dubai from IDA offices within 1-3 hours
Delivery to other emirates: Upon request with additional fee

Delivery times are approximate. We do not guarantee exact delivery times due to circumstances beyond our control (postal service, customs, technical issues).

5. IDP VALIDITY

The IDP is valid for up to 3 years from the date of issuance or until your national driving license expires — whichever comes first.

Important: The IDP is not a standalone document and is only valid when accompanied by your national driving license.

6. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

International Drivers Association is NOT responsible for:

6.1 Recognition by Authorities: Recognition, acceptance, or refusal of recognition of the IDP by authorities, law enforcement, car rental companies, or other persons in specific countries and jurisdictions. Each country and jurisdiction has the right to independently decide on IDP recognition.

6.2 Traffic Violations: Fines, sanctions, penalties, or administrative consequences imposed for traffic violations or road safety law violations, regardless of IDP recognition in a specific country.

6.3 Vehicle Operation Issues: Any problems, difficulties, conflicts, or situations arising from vehicle operation or IDP use in any country or region.

6.4 Document Security After Delivery: Loss, damage, theft, deterioration, or destruction of the IDP after delivery to you, including losses in postal transit.

6.5 Delivery Delays and Force Majeure: Delivery delays caused by postal services, customs procedures, force majeure events, or circumstances beyond International Drivers Association control.

7. DATA PROTECTION

International Drivers Association collects and processes your personal data in accordance with the UAE Personal Data Protection Law. Your data, including name, date of birth, photograph, and signature, will be:

Stored in the IDA central database for verification purposes
Retained for 3 years after IDP expiration
Used only for IDP issuance and verification

8. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

All content on ida.ae, including text, images, logos, and design elements, is the intellectual property of International Drivers Association or its licensors. Reproduction, modification, or distribution without permission is prohibited.

9. DISPUTE RESOLUTION AND COMPLAINTS

9.1 Complaint Procedure

In case of disputes or disagreements, you must submit a written complaint to:

The complaint must contain: description of the issue, requested resolution, and supporting documents. International Drivers Association will review the complaint within 14 days and respond to you.

9.2 Litigation

If the complaint is not resolved within the specified timeframe or if parties do not reach agreement, the dispute shall be resolved in the courts of the Emirate of Dubai, United Arab Emirates, in accordance with UAE law, or through arbitration as agreed by both parties.

9.3 Applicable Law

All disputes shall be resolved in accordance with the laws of the United Arab Emirates, including Federal Decree No. 45 of 2021 (Personal Data Protection Law) and the UAE Civil Code.

10. COMPANY RESPONSIBILITY

International Drivers Association processes data in good faith and verifies it thoroughly
If International Drivers Association cannot deliver the IDP due to force majeure events (circumstances beyond its control: natural disasters, wars, epidemics, strikes, legislative changes) for more than 30 days, clients have the right to a full refund without deductions

11. CHANGES TO TERMS

International Drivers Association may change these terms at any time. Changes take effect after publication on the website. Continued use of the website constitutes acceptance of updated terms.
