The Department of Social Services in Sharjah (SSSD) has introduced a new initiative called the External Vehicle Service, aimed at simplifying access to government services. Citizens and residents can now receive a range of social and administrative services without leaving their vehicles.
Available services include updating bank cards, applying for social assistance, modifying Emirates ID data, and obtaining employment status certificates. All procedures take less than five minutes and are carried out at a specially designated area, where an assigned staff member ensures efficient electronic processing.
The service is especially beneficial for elderly citizens, people with disabilities, and families with special needs. This new format eliminates the need to wait in lines or visit offices, making services more convenient and accessible.
The External Vehicle Service is part of SSSD’s broader strategy to improve the customer experience and raise public satisfaction. Simplified access to essential services marks a significant step toward building a more inclusive and user-friendly social support system.
