Drivers in Dubai will have to pay more for parking starting in April
Starting in April, new parking regulations will come into effect in Dubai, introducing dynamic pricing. Drivers will need to be aware of price adjustments that will now depend on the time of day, road congestion, and major events. Parkin has announced that public parking spaces will now be subject to higher peak-hour tariffs, with a cost of 6 dirhams per hour.
During the busiest hours from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, parking rates will increase. A full day of parking will cost 40 dirhams in Zone B and 30 dirhams in Zone D. Additionally, special charges will be introduced for high-demand areas, particularly near major events and conferences, where parking will cost 25 dirhams per hour. Dubai drivers will now have to adapt to a more flexible pricing system, where costs will vary based on congestion and time of day. The higher the demand, the higher the price, meaning those looking to save money will need to carefully plan their routes and parking locations. Furthermore, Salik has already implemented a dynamic toll system, making traffic management in the city even more efficient.
Parking fees in Dubai will now fluctuate based on demand and location. The higher the demand, the more expensive the parking. Therefore, drivers must account for peak hours to avoid overpaying. If you're planning to drive in Dubai this spring, keep an eye on the time and your budget—parking will become significantly more expensive during peak hours.
