A historically significant landmark has been assembled right on Jumeirah Beach in Dubai.

In Dubai, a new attraction has appeared – a garden composed of 11,600 United Arab Emirates flags, forming portraits of the country’s founding fathers, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum.

The Flag Garden is located on Jumeirah Beach and was created by the creative division of the Dubai Government Media Office, Brand Dubai, for the 11th time. The installation, measuring 75 by 104 meters, will be open to visitors until January 10, 2025.

Earlier, the Dubai government announced the launch of the "Zayed and Rashid" initiative, featuring a series of festive events across the emirate. The campaign started on November 3 and will continue until December 3, spanning a full month.

The celebrations began on UAE Flag Day and will conclude on UAE National Day. This initiative is being carried out in collaboration with 16 government, semi-government, and private organizations.

On December 2 and 3, fireworks will light up the skies over areas like JBR Beach, Al Seef, Hatta, and Dubai Festival City Mall. Residents of Dubai will also have the opportunity to visit Hatta to enjoy fireworks, traditional folk dances, and musical performances. Throughout the month, additional fireworks displays will take place in Global Village.

Several seasonal markets, such as Beach Canteen, Ripe Market, and Winter Wonderland, will participate in the festivities, offering traditional Arabic-themed food, souvenirs, and entertainment. December 2 will see the “Unity Day Parade.”

Visitors will also have the chance to explore the region's culture in the historic Al Fahidi district, at the Al Shindagha and Etihad Museums, and in the heritage village in Hatta. Expo City Dubai will host a musical concert titled "Union Symphony," performed by the Firdaus Orchestra.

Additionally, Al Wasl Plaza will host the Emirates Harvest Market, featuring local agricultural and food products. The Dubai Municipality will decorate major parks, the Dubai Frame, Dubai Safari Park, and the roundabout near the Clock Tower with vibrant lights. Celebrations will also be held at the airport.
