Now your license can be renewed in 3 minutes
Dubai has installed 32 self-service kiosks that allow citizens and residents to instantly renew their driving licenses—quickly, conveniently, and without unnecessary hassle.
These new kiosks offer 28 digital services, including vehicle registration, driver services, parking, Nol card management, and financial transactions (such as licensing and invoice payments). They are available 24/7, ensuring access at any time. Various payment methods are supported—cash, bank cards, and even contactless smartphone payments—making the process even faster and easier.
Renewing a license through a kiosk takes just a few simple steps. No paperwork, no delays—just fast, user-friendly service.
Simply insert your Emirates ID, pay the renewal fee using a card or cash, and that’s it. The machine will verify your identity and process the request. Within minutes, your new driving license will be printed and issued on the spot—quick and hassle-free!
This approach eliminates paperwork entirely and significantly reduces waiting time—especially important for busy city residents.
RTA has placed these kiosks in 21 key locations across Dubai: at its headquarters, customer service centers, major service hubs, and other strategic sites. For example, one of the kiosks is located at Tasjeel, Al Barsha.
This service aligns with Dubai’s “Smart City” strategy—leveraging advanced technologies to simplify government procedures and reduce manual processes. It's another step toward making Dubai a global leader in digital infrastructure.
Important reminder: If you're planning to travel abroad and intend to rent a car, you will need an International Driving Permit (IDP). Valid in over 150 countries, it serves as an official translation of your national license. You can obtain an IDP through accredited organizations like the International Drivers Association (IDA), which processes and delivers documents worldwide—including for UAE residents.
