Abu Dhabi Mobility has launched a special initiative to improve transportation access to the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque

In anticipation of the final days of the holy month of Ramadan, Abu Dhabi Mobility has launched a special initiative to improve transportation access to the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque. Free bus routes have been arranged for worshippers, operating between the mosque and the Al Rabdan bus station. A total of 10 free buses will be running, providing convenient and safe transportation, especially during evening and late-night prayers.

This measure is aimed at easing traffic congestion around the mosque, particularly during the last ten days of Ramadan when the number of visitors significantly increases. To monitor traffic and ensure smooth flow, surveillance cameras have been installed to track real-time conditions and allow for rapid responses to traffic jams or emergencies.

Additionally, mobile electronic signs have been placed to help visitors easily locate designated parking areas. Fixed electronic boards will also display guidance messages to inform drivers of the best routes. At key intersections and traffic lights near the mosque, traffic inspectors will be on duty to regulate the flow and quickly resolve any arising issues.

To further ensure road safety and fast response times, road patrols have been increased, and towing services will be available when needed. All these measures aim to create a safe and comfortable transportation experience for everyone visiting the mosque.

Moreover, due to the expected increase in demand, the number of taxis will be doubled during the last ten days of Ramadan to accommodate worshippers and visitors more efficiently.
