In Abu Dhabi, drivers can save up to 50% on traffic fines thanks to special programs and holiday promotions.
Discounts on fines in Abu Dhabi
In 2025, Abu Dhabi authorities introduced several programs to reduce fines for traffic violations in order to encourage timely payment and improve road safety.
The Pay Early Save More program provides a 35% discount if you pay your fine within 60 days of the fine being issued. If you pay after 60 days but within one year, you will receive a 25% discount. These discounts do not apply to serious violations such as drunk driving, speeding more than 40 mph (60 km/h) over the limit, and serious accidents.
For drivers who missed out on early discounts or have significant outstanding debts, the Abu Dhabi Judicial Department (ADJD) offers the option to apply for an additional fine reduction of up to 50%. The process involves: receiving a violation report via the TAMM portal, submitting a fine reduction application via the ADJD online platform with the required documents, automated or manual verification of the application, and paying the reduced fine via TAMM or the Abu Dhabi Police app.
Additionally, during special periods such as UAE National Day or Eid holidays, Abu Dhabi Police may announce temporary promotions with discounts of up to 50% on fines valid for a limited time.
Payment of fines and information on discounts are possible through official channels: the UAE Ministry of Interior (MOI) portal, the TAMM portal and the Abu Dhabi Police app. It is important to avoid unofficial sites and apps offering dubious services to reduce fines, as they may be fraudulent.
