Dubai School Students Excel at ADNOC Yas in Schools 2025 National Final
School students from Dubai achieved remarkable results at the ADNOC Yas in Schools 2025 National Final, the UAE’s largest youth STEM competition, held at the Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi.
Over 1,400 students, forming 310 teams from 113 schools across the country, participated in the event. The competition featured five categories: “F1 in Schools,” “Formula Ethara,” “4×4 in Schools,” “Test Driver,” and “Ethara Go.” Participants built model cars, competed in races, prepared technical portfolios, and presented sustainable development and business strategies to a panel of expert judges.
The Apex Racers team from Jumeirah College in Dubai won the “Rookie Champion” and “Verbal Presentation” awards. MENA Racing excelled in the “Fastest Car” and “Engineering” categories. Project Nova from Dubai College claimed the national title in “4×4 in Schools,” while ERA Racing from Royal Grammar School Guildford took top honors in “Formula Ethara.”
The Hypernix team from Private International English School won the “F1 in Schools Professional Champions” category and will represent the UAE at the STEM Racing World Final 2026.
This year, interest in the competition surged significantly: the number of teams in “Ethara Go” increased by 56% compared to last year, and participation in “Test Driver” grew from 54 to 64 teams, with over half of them representing Dubai.
The “Yas in Schools” program, organized by Ethara and ADNOC, aims to nurture future scientists, engineers, and innovators by leveraging motorsport to develop their technical skills, creativity, and leadership qualities.
