A service for checking Japanese cars via VIN has been launched in the UAE, allowing you to find out the mileage, owners, accidents and origin of the car for 99 dirhams.

In May 2025, Vehicle Report launched a Japanese car history check service in the UAE, marking a significant step forward in bringing transparency to the used car market. With over 60% of used cars in the country being of Japanese origin, the service provides buyers with access to detailed information about a vehicle’s past.

The reports, which start at Dh99, include mileage, service history, number of previous owners, accident history, manufacturer recalls and the vehicle’s legal status. This information helps identify cases of mileage rollback, hidden damage or illegal importation, which is especially important when buying cars not intended for the UAE market.

To get a report, simply enter the VIN number of the car on the Vehicle Report website. The service provides information from Japanese sources, including auction sheets and data from the Japanese Ministry of Transport. This allows buyers to make informed decisions, reducing risks and providing confidence in the purchase.
