Weather Changes Forecasted in the UAE: Cloudy Skies, Rain, and Dusty Winds
UAE National Center of Meteorology (NCM) Releases Updated Weather Forecast: Changing Atmospheric Conditions Expected The UAE's National Center of Meteorology (NCM) has issued an updated weather forecast indicating changes in atmospheric conditions across the country. Throughout the day, partly cloudy skies will persist, but by the evening and into Sunday night, cloud cover is expected to increase. Light rainfall is forecasted in western parts of the country, including coastal and desert regions, with precipitation likely to begin in the early morning hours of Sunday.
Temperature Outlook: Hot Weather with Cooler Conditions in the Mountains Despite the cloud cover, most regions will continue to experience high temperatures. In the UAE’s interior areas, temperatures will range between 33°C and 38°C, while coastal and island regions will see slightly lower temperatures of 31°C to 36°C. However, mountain regions, such as Jebel Jais in Ras Al Khaimah, will be significantly cooler, with temperatures ranging between 20°C and 24°C, providing a more comfortable environment for visitors.
Wind and Sandstorms: Possible Reduced Visibility Winds will be light to moderate throughout the day, but they may strengthen at times, leading to dust storms and reduced visibility, particularly in desert and open areas. Wind speeds could reach up to 35 km/h from a southeasterly direction. These conditions may pose challenges for motorists, especially on highways. Drivers are advised to remain cautious and reduce speed in areas where visibility is low.
Sea Conditions: Calm to Moderate Waters The Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea will experience slight to moderate waves, making conditions favorable for marine activities such as boat trips and fishing. However, fishermen and boat owners are advised to stay updated with weather alerts, as occasional changes in wave height may occur.
The NCM advises residents and tourists to take precautions as weather conditions change, especially in open areas where strong winds may lift dust and sand, reducing visibility. Those planning outdoor trips should consider the shifting weather and carry protective masks, particularly individuals with respiratory conditions. Additionally, due to increased humidity in coastal areas, light fog or mist may form by Sunday morning, potentially affecting road visibility. Motorists should exercise caution and maintain a safe distance while driving.
