The route, operated by Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), connects Al Ghubaiba Jetty in Dubai with Sharjah Aquarium Jetty. The entire journey takes about 35-40 minutes, making it convenient for daily travel between the emirates.
The departure schedule depends on the day of the week: on weekdays, ferries from Sharjah to Dubai depart at 7:00, 8:30, 13:00, 16:45 and 18:15, and in the opposite direction - at 7:45, 10:00, 16:00, 17:30 and 19:00. On weekends, the routes are shifted to a later time, starting at 14:00.
The fare is AED 15 in Economy Class and AED 25 in Gold Class. Children under five and people with disabilities can travel for free. You can pay for your ticket in cash or with cards, including the Nol transport card.
The ships are designed to accommodate 98 passengers and are equipped with air conditioning, toilets, screens with multimedia content and places for the disabled. Sharjah has ample parking and air-conditioned lounges.
Tickets can be purchased in advance online through the official RTA website or through the S’hail app, allowing you to avoid queues and ensure your seat on the desired flight.
This route has become part of a strategy to reduce the traffic congestion between the Emirates and to popularize public transport. In addition to comfort and speed, ferries promote environmentally friendly transportation, which is especially important for the sustainable development of the metropolis.
