Mercedes-Benz Strengthens Global Operations from Dubai: Restructuring Covers 100+ Markets

Mercedes-Benz Cars Middle East has carried out a major restructuring at its Dubai office, emphasizing the emirate’s key role as a global management hub. The new organizational model covers over 100 international markets and is aimed at improving the efficiency of the Mercedes-Benz General Distributor (MBGD) network. This move is part of the brand’s global strategy to unify customer service standards and strengthen its presence in regions such as Eastern Europe, Latin America, and Southeast Asia.

The transformation is being led by Michael Stroband, President and CEO of MBCME, who also heads MBGD. His mission is to ensure streamlined operations across regional markets and to boost synergy within the global network. Key leadership changes include Karsten Klauenberg, appointed Director of Customer Services and Retail Training as of June 1, 2025, and Pablo Souto, who will take on additional responsibility for marketing. Bonnie Al-Fakhri, who previously headed Human Resources and contributed to major MBGD reforms, became Head of Marketing and Communications on May 1, 2025.

These changes reflect Mercedes-Benz’s strategic intent to expand its influence in emerging markets while maintaining a consistent brand image and superior customer experience worldwide. The Dubai headquarters is becoming a vital part of the company’s innovation ecosystem, from which global development and process standardization in premium mobility will be managed.
