Emirates and flydubai Set New Record with Over 5 Million Passengers on Joint Routes

For those who frequently travel abroad — whether for renting a car with an International Driving Permit, leisure, or business — there's good news from the UAE. Emirates and flydubai have achieved a new milestone: over 5 million passengers used their combined network over the past year, marking a 36% increase compared to the same period last year.

Since the launch of their partnership in 2017, more than 22 million travelers have flown through their integrated network, which now covers 240 destinations across over 100 countries. The network is expected to expand further to reach 400 destinations. Currently, passengers have access to an average of 295 daily codeshare flights, including more than 330 weekly flydubai departures from Terminal 3 of Dubai International Airport.

With seamless connections, a shared loyalty program — Emirates Skywards, which now boasts over 35 million members worldwide — and a 31% increase in business class demand, the joint offering is especially attractive for those who value comfort and convenience in international travel. It’s a great option for travelers planning trips with international driving permits or looking to rent a car upon arrival.
