Abu Dhabi Motors celebrates 40 years with massive growth, innovative showrooms and recognition as one of the leaders in the UAE's premium car market.

Abu Dhabi Motors Today

Abu Dhabi Motors, the exclusive distributor of BMW, MINI, Rolls-Royce, Alpina, McLaren and BMW Motorrad in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain, is celebrating its 40th anniversary. What began in 1985 with a team of 24 people has now grown to 750 employees and 12 locations, including the world’s largest BMW Group showroom at 35,000 m² in Umm Al Nar. Over the years, the brand portfolio has expanded significantly, including the addition of MINI and Alpina in 2001, Rolls-Royce in 2003, BMW Motorrad in 2004, certified pre-owned vehicles in 2006 and McLaren in 2022. In addition, the subsidiary Performance Plus Motors began selling Zero electric motorcycles and Voyah electric cars.

In 2012, the company opened a multifunctional complex with a full 3S service - sales, service, spare parts. It also houses a warehouse for 3,500 vehicles, a large spare parts logistics center, a paint and body shop, a pre-sales preparation center and a 700 m² training center. Over the past 13 years, Abu Dhabi Motors has received 28 awards from the BMW Group, including awards for best work with BMW M and spare parts, as well as recognition from the RTA for the level of after-sales service and extended warranty.

Since 2020, the brand has been actively using digital channels, including the DubiCars platform, which has an audience of over 3.5 million users per month. This has significantly strengthened the company's online presence and made it easier for buyers across the region to find BMW models. One of the key achievements was the opening of the first new-generation Retail.Next showroom in the UAE in the Al Khalidiyah area in March 2024. The concept includes an open exhibition of BMW, MINI and Motorrad models, a lifestyle zone and a bistro, creating an omnichannel customer experience. In 2025, the launch of a second center of this format is planned in Umm Al Nar.

Additionally, a redesigned Rolls-Royce Boutique will open in autumn 2024, featuring an exclusive Bespoke Commissioning Atelier and a showcase for new models, including the Ghost Series II with its 6.75-litre V12 engine and innovative Magic Carpet Ride suspension.

The 40th anniversary celebration was not only a symbol of the company’s resilience, but also a reflection of its leading role in the UAE luxury car market. Abu Dhabi Motors continues to invest heavily in customer service, digital solutions and brand development, cementing its status as one of the most influential premium dealers in the region.
