A New Step Towards a Sustainable Transport Future

Electric vehicles are rapidly gaining popularity in the UAE, with the market actively adapting to this new wave of sustainable transportation. Interest is growing in models from manufacturers such as Tesla, Nissan, Hyundai, as well as newcomers like Lucid and BYD. Alongside this, UAE authorities are making significant strides to expand the charging station infrastructure: DEWA stations are appearing across the country, and new developments and shopping centers are integrating them into their plans. To support eco-friendly transportation, the government also offers incentives like free parking and charging for the first two years, exemption from fees, and privileges in designated lanes. In the coming years, autonomous vehicles, including driverless taxis, are expected to strengthen the UAE's position as a leader in automotive technology in the Middle East.

The UAE is also working to implement autonomous driving technologies and internet-connected vehicles, marking the next step in the evolution of transportation. In the coming years, pilot programs featuring autonomous taxis and public transport are planned, solidifying the UAE's leadership in smart transportation. This shift may also stimulate new investments in research and manufacturing centers within the region.

New prices for petrol that won't leave you dissatisfied

The UAE’s Fuel Price Regulation Committee has announced that fuel prices will be reduced in October compared to September’s rates, which will be welcome news for motorists.

Starting October 1, Super 98 petrol will be priced at 2.66 AED per liter, down from 2.90 AED in September, offering significant savings for those who prefer high-octane fuel. Special 95 petrol will also see a decrease, now priced at 2.54 AED per liter compared to 2.78 AED last month. Meanwhile, E-Plus 91 petrol will cost 2.47 AED per liter, down from 2.71 AED in September.

Diesel prices have also been adjusted, dropping to 2.6 AED per liter from September’s rate of 2.78 AED per liter. This reduction in fuel prices aligns with global trends in the oil market. In September, the average price of Brent crude was approximately USD 73 per barrel, compared to USD 78.63 in August. The price decline is attributed to increased market supply, including plans by Saudi Arabia to boost oil production, which has stabilized prices.

It’s worth noting that in the UAE, fuel prices are reviewed monthly. The fuel committee assesses current market conditions each month and sets new petrol and diesel rates accordingly. Announcements are made on the last day of each month, allowing timely adjustments to reflect global market trends and provide residents with competitive fuel prices.

Dubai Launches a $6.8 Billion Investment Incentive Program: New Stimulus for International Companies

Dubai has announced the launch of an ambitious new investment incentive program valued at $6.8 billion, aimed at attracting significant international capital into the emirate's economy. The program, known as FDI Development, is designed to drive economic growth through 2033 by creating favorable conditions for multinational corporations and investors.

A Strategic Plan for the Next Decade

FDI Development is part of a broader strategy to diversify Dubai's economy and strengthen its role as a global investment hub. The program envisions multibillion-dollar investments in key sectors, including technology, financial services, innovation, and green energy. Dubai authorities believe these measures will create new jobs, enhance infrastructure, and increase the share of high-tech projects in the economy.

By 2033, Dubai aims to reach new heights of development, focusing on sustainability and innovation. The goal of the program is not only to attract foreign direct investment (FDI) but also to support local companies that can participate in international projects and expand their businesses beyond the UAE.

 Benefits for Investors

The FDI Development program offers a range of unique incentives for international companies. These include tax breaks, simplified regulatory procedures, and access to one of the most advanced infrastructures in the world. Companies investing in Dubai under this program will benefit from preferential conditions for leasing office and industrial space, as well as grants for research and innovative development.

Additionally, the government plans to create special economic zones with high business standards, making Dubai even more attractive for global players.

Long-Term Economic Impact

The FDI Development program is expected to significantly strengthen Dubai's position in the global investment arena, attracting billions of dollars over the next decade. These funds will be directed toward infrastructure modernization, the development of new technologies, and support for entrepreneurship. Moreover, the program seeks to create strategic partnerships with global corporations, helping to further integrate Dubai into the world economy.

The program also aligns with Dubai's goal of becoming a center for sustainable development. With increasing investments in green technologies and projects aimed at reducing carbon footprints, Dubai aspires to be a leader in sustainable growth in the Middle East.

 Attracting International Corporations

Dubai’s strong legal system, transparent business environment, and investor protection guarantees make it an attractive destination for business. The FDI Development program will offer new incentives for those considering Dubai as a platform for accessing Middle Eastern, African, and Asian markets.

 Conclusion

The $6.8 billion FDI Development program marks a significant step in Dubai's journey toward long-term economic success. With a focus on attracting international companies and investments, it promises to be a key driver in transforming the emirate into a global financial and technological center. In the coming years, we will witness how this ambitious plan reshapes the region's economy and strengthens its position on the global stage.

How to get a residence visa in UAE

What is a residence visa

This is a visa that entitles its holder to reside in the UAE for a long period of time and freely enter and leave the country an unlimited number of times, until the visa expires.

Ways to obtain a UAE resident visa:

Official employment in the UAE

Opening your own company

Acquisition of real estate

Получение рабочей визы в ОАЭ

Entry Permit, or work permit for entry into the UAE, is issued by a local company in the UAE, a scan of the document is sent to the employee by e-mail.

Passing through passport control at the UAE airport must be done with the original entry permit, that is, the entry mark must be placed on the entry permit itself.

After entering under the entry permit, the worker must paste the visa into the passport within 60 days. During this time, you need to have time to pass a medical test, pass your fingerprints and get an Emirates ID, sign a work contract, and submit a full package of documents for pasting a visa into your passport.

How to start your own business

To obtain an investor visa, if you are a business owner, you will need to go through the following steps:

Register a company in your name

Get an immigration card

Apply for an entry permit

Apply for an Emirates ID card and undergo a medical examination

Submit your passport for visa stamping

If you have visited the UAE at least once, then during the first three stages you are not necessarily in the UAE. But in order to pass a medical examination, apply for an Emirates ID and stick a visa in your passport, you will need to be present in person. To do this, your passport will be sent to the migration office and you will not be able to leave the UAE until the process is completed.

Features of obtaining a residence permit through the purchase of real estate in Dubai:

1. To obtain a resident visa for 3 years with the possibility of extension, the cost of the purchased apartment should be from 750 thousand to 5 million dirhams per person or family. If the cost of housing is more than 5 million dirhams, then a visa is issued for 5 years.

2. The accommodation must be in a final building and fully owned by the client.

3. The property must be intended for habitation.

4. To obtain a residence permit, the property owner must confirm a monthly income in a certain amount (from 2,860 USD).

5. Buyer must be under 55 years of age. If the client is older, then you will need to obtain a special agreement allowing you to obtain a resident visa.

The process of obtaining residency in the UAE is not the fastest and while you are completing the documents, you will have to move around the city a lot. Taxis in the UAE, in particular in Dubai, are among the most expensive in the world, public transport is inconvenient and not always available, so the most popular option is car rental, especially given the huge number of car rental companies. At the same time, not everyone knows that in the UAE, in order to rent and drive a car, it is necessary to have an International Driving License in addition to the National License. This is due to tightening requirements from the local Roads and Transport Authority (RTA).

Getting an International Driver's License is actually very simple, you just need to contact the International Drivers Association fill out an online form and get it on the same day without passing any exams. The resulting document will be valid not only in the UAE, but also in 170 countries of the world, because it complies with the standards of the UN conventions “On Road Traffic”. The current status of the document can be checked in the Central Austrian database of the IDL. Since the organization is licensed by the Ministry of Economy and Tourism of Dubai and cooperates with local transport authorities, it will be possible to rent a car in absolutely any rental car.

In recent months, a large number of foreigners have received resident status in the UAE. If you prepare all the necessary documents, the process will be easy. Good luck!
